All time record price of Rs.2,250 per kg was recorded for a PEK1 grade manufactured by Craig Hill Tea Factory, at this week’s E-Auctions held on January 24-25, 2023.
Craig Hill Tea Factory is a flag bearer known for producing good quality teas in the Medium Grown sector and is situated in the Western High, Nuwara Eliya District.
The proprietor of this factory N. M. Fariz and the team are keen on producing premium quality teas for weekly tea auctions which were bought for premium blends by the buyer community.
The above tea was purchased by m/s Venture Tea (Pvt) ltd, a leading tea exporter in Sri Lanka. The selling broker of this tea was Mercantile Produce Brokers (Pvt) Ltd.
