Farmchemie (Private) Limited, the market leader in animal health products, proved its unsurpassable excellence at CNCI Achiever Awards for Industrial Excellence 2022, being the winner of the manufacturing sector, extra-large category, and National Level Merit Award for the fifth consecutive year.
Feedchemie, a sister company, was also awarded the manufacturing sector, Extra-large category, National level Merit Award for the second consecutive year. The flagship event organized by Ceylon National Chamber of Industries was recently held at Hotel Galadari, Colombo, President Ranil Wickremesinghe was the chief guest.
With a successful history of 20 years, Farmchemie saw remarkable growth extending to the international market. The company manufactures and markets animal health products, veterinary pharmaceuticals, animal feed additives in several brands including ‘Farmstar’ their flagship brand. Since 2018 Farmchemie has been exporting its products to India, Uganda, Bangladesh,
Pakistan, Nepal and UAE. We could achieve a 10-15% local market by manufacturing our own products under a situation of 100% import dependency in the Animal health sector in Sri Lanka within a shorter time period.
With past experience and industry expertise, Farmchemie is able to convert a fully import dependent market to a local market, said Uditha Wanigasinghe.
Today, Farmchemie is the first animal health product company in Sri Lanka to have been accredited with ISO 9001:2015 and WHO GMP quality certifications.
Farmchemie has been recognized with a Silver award in the National Exports Awards 2022 organized by the National Chamber of Exporters.
