Lanka Hospitals, the internationally accredited multiple award-winning healthcare provider celebrated World Heart Day on 29th September 2020. The event also marked the successful completion of 9,000 heart surgeries at the hospital’s Heart Centre. Lanka Hospitals’ Group Chief Executive Officer - Deepthi Lokuarachchi, Lanka Hospitals’ Director Medical Services - Dr Wimal Karandagoda, other senior members of Lanka Hospitals’ management, heart specialists and staff of the hospital’s Heart Centre participated in the event.
The event also included an educational panel discussion by three senior resident cardiac specialists with regard to heart health and the importance of preventing heart disease.
The members of the panel discussion were Resident Consultant Cardiologist - Dr M. Mubarak, Chief Resident Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Dr G. Gandhiji and Resident Consultant Cardiac Anaesthesiologist - Dr P. Lushantha.
