NDB recognized at CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2020

NDB’s 2019 Annual Report themed “Our Voyage Beyond” was recognized with the Silver Award across all sectors along with three other awards at the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2020.

NDB bagged the overall Silver award/ first runner up across all sectors amidst a high competition. Further, the Bank was also recognized as the “Best Integrated Report - Banking Sector”, “Special Award for Best Disclosures on Capitals” and “Winner - Ten Best Integrated Reports” all of which are much sought after by leading corporates in the country, including banks, engaged in integrated reporting in their annual reports.

NDB continually reviews and adopts best practice in local and international reporting and disclosure guidelines in its annual reports – in both financial and non-financial disclosures, to ensure quality information provided to all stakeholders.

Fonterra distributes value bundle to boost farmers’ productivity

Fonterra Brands Lanka has actioned a programme to provide free access to 3 critical inputs – quality fodder, specially-formulated Minerals Mix packs and mechanised equipment to its smallholder dairy farmers in a drive to elevate on-farm productivity and yield.

Smallholder farmers who contribute 90% to the Sri Lankan milk supply experience challenges around access to right quality feed and on-farm efficiencies. The ‘value bundle’ distribution drive is meant to encourage use of the right quality feed to nourish dairy cattle and dairy equipment to assist milking and fodder harvesting, driving safety, efficiency and productivity.

LOLC Life Assurance, LOLC General Insurance expands operations in Matara

LOLC Life Assurance and LOLC General Insurance recently expanded its operations in Matara. The new LOLC Life and LOLC General Zonal Office was inaugurated at Galle Road, Paburana, Matara.

In addition, the LOLC Life Provincial Office in Matara was relocated to Station Road, Matara to a more spacious Provincial Branch on the same day. This is the first Provincial Branch opened by LOLC Life.
