The Chairman and a few executive members of Free Trade Zone Manufacturers’ Association (FTZMA), the preeminent trade chamber representing BOI companies in the country have made a courtesy call on Export Development Board (EDB) Chairman Kingsley Bernard on last week at EDB Board premises to discuss the ways and means to make collaborate efforts in achieving common objectives of FTZMA & EDB to foster a conducive environment for the export sector in the country.
During the meeting, the Chairman of EDB which is the apex state organization responsible for the development and promotion of exports has emphasized its continuous commitment to render their invaluable services for the export community to drive the growth of the country’s exports.
FTZMA chairman sought the EDB to support in knowledge and data sharing about the prospective export markets, products on demand in such markets, trade statistics and tariff of the regional countries that are competing with our country’s exports.
It was also agreed to work collaboratively for resumption of the Export Forum that could resolve the issues faced by the exporter community expeditiously, as it enables high-level, cross-government consideration towards country exports.
