A recent enhancement to Emirates’ inflight connectivity means that all Emirates passengers in every class of travel can enjoy some form of free connectivity once they sign up to Emirates Skywards. The development has resulted in an additional 30,000 Economy Class passengers connecting to complimentary onboard Wi-Fi every week.
Emirates has constantly been at the forefront of inflight Wi-Fi developments and has to date invested more than US$ 300 million dollars into onboard connectivity.
All Emirates Skywards members in every class of travel can now enjoy some form of free connectivity. Skywards members, whether Blue, Silver, Gold, or Platinum tier, travelling in any class, whether Economy, Premium Economy, Business or First Class will enjoy free app messaging. Additionally, First Class passengers will have unlimited free internet if they are Skywards members, enabling them to shop or work online while inflight, as will Silver, Gold and Platinum Skywards members travelling in Business Class.
Launching mid-summer 2023, Emirates can reveal that its latest ad campaign and brand collaboration will feature Penelope Cruz.
The Academy Award winning actor and philanthropist is already a fan of the Emirates brand and a frequent flyer who has visited Dubai multiple times. In exclusive behind-the-scenes footage shot onboard a signature Emirates A380 aircraft, Cruz revealed her passion for Emirates and the positive association she has with the brand stating that she was thrilled to partner with Emirates after years of traveling with the airline, on some of the most special trips of her life.
Rajeev Abeysekara has won the ‘Sony World Photography Awards 2023’, for his magnificent click of a leopard in the wilderness of Sri Lanka.
Each year thousands across the world submit their best shots to go into the history books as a winner and it truly needs a masterpiece capture to become a winner. Abeysekara received his award on May 18, at the BMICH during the G Master Mega Workshop organised by Sony and their authorised distributor in Sri Lanka, CameraLK.
Rajeev was presented with a brand new Sony A7RV camera and a 24-70mm F/2.8 GM II lens by Sony Singapore representatives, Thomas Sim, Vincent Tay and the Managing Director of CameraLK, Anushka Gunasinghe at the event.
As the national award winner in Sri Lanka, Rajeev Abeysekara will be included in the Sony World Photography Awards exhibition and book. During the event, CameraLK also revealed the brand new inclusion to the Sony lens line-up which is the 50mm F/1.4 GM.
Along with these moments, the event line-up from South Asia’s Largest Camera Retail Store and Sri Lanka’s pioneer in the imaging business CameraLK included interactive sessions for the participants with experts of the industry like Arantha Sirimanne, Dimitri Crusz and a popular name in the entertainment industry Charith Abeysinghe.
