Bristol Institute of Business Management, holds graduation ceremony

The Bristol Institute of Business Management, a pioneer in UK education in Sri Lanka hosted their graduation ceremony at the Water’s Edge in Colombo and over 250 students were conferred with degrees from the University of the West of England (UWE, Bristol).

These degrees were awarded to graduates who successfully completed programs such as the Master of Business Administration, the MSc in Accounting and Finance, and The LLM in Commercial Law from UWE, Bristol.
     
Pro Vice Chancellor, University of the West of England, Jo Midgley who was the Chief Guest underscored the significance of leadership in the new age.

Her insightful words inspired graduates to embrace innovative approaches and visionary leadership to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the professional world.

She also highlighted the remarkable milestone of witnessing over 250 graduating students passing out. The graduation ceremony not only commemorated numerous accomplishments but also underscored Bristol Institute’s dedication to shaping well-rounded graduates adaptable to various industries. The institute boasts alumni excelling in prominent roles within Sri Lanka’s corporate landscape, showcasing their versatility. Many have ventured into entrepreneurial pursuits, while others hold influential positions in leading global enterprises.

The ceremony also recognized outstanding achievers and presented them with the prestigious Bristol Medal. These recipients were: Ayanthi Lakmali Kalawitigoda Gamage (MBA Batch Top – September 2021), Pandigamage Ruwangi Madhukshika (MBA Batch Top – January 2022), Muhammed Irshad Muhammed Ibrahim (MSc Accounting and Finance Batch Top – January 2022), Sekar Anoja (MBA Batch Top – September 2022) and Nageswaran Prashanth (MSc Accounting and Finance Batch Top – September 2022)

Furthermore, the institution honored exceptional performers with the distinguished ‘Bristol Gold Medal’. The recipients who attained the highest scores from all batches were Pandigamage Ruwangi Madhukshika (Master of Business Administration) and Nageswaran Prashanth (MSc Accounting and Finance)
